New Gallery Director for Anna Schwartz Gallery

A new position overseeing both Melbourne and Sydney spaces has been established for the prominent Australian gallery.

Melissa Loughnan has been appointed the inaugural Gallery Director for the Anna Schwartz Gallery overseeing both its Melbourne and Sydney spaces.

Founding Director of Melbourne’s Utopian Slumps, Loughnan holds a Master of Art Curatorship from the University of Melbourne and has worked at Melbourne Museum as their Exhibitions Project Officer and Exhibition Coordinator and Design (2009), and was Program Manager at the Australian Commercial Galleries Association, Federation Square in 2009. She is currently writing An A to Z of New Australian Contemporary Art (working title) to be released by Thames and Hudson in 2015.
