New festival breathes life into Real Life

It is also the name the Brisbane Powerhouse has given to a new festival which will take over the venue in May 2015.

The idea is to fuse the immersive and interactive dimension of gaming culture which keeps adolescents (and often adults!) in their bedrooms with the immediacy and humanity of live performance.

Brisbane Powerhouse Artistic Director Kris Stewart said the festival was being developed to embrace and enable the new wave of national and international digital-creatives, for whom gaming and associated digital culture are the natural narrative structures.
