Major staff changes at QAGOMA

Early this week, Director Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) Chris Saines announced the appointment of the Gallery’s new Curatorial Manager of Australian Art, Jason Smith.

Smith comes to the gallery as the former Director and CEO of Heide Museum of Modern Art in Victoria, a position he has held since 2008; and prior to that, Director of Melbourne’s Monash Art Gallery from 2007 to 2008. Smith has additionally held curatorial positions at the National Gallery of Victoria, where he was Curator of Contemporary Art for a decade.
