A re-elected Labor government would invest up to $12 million to help the Australian publishing industry by establishing Australian University Press (AUP).

AUP would be a new avenue for scholarly publishing, helping academics and students share their work with both their peers and the public. It would include a publishing platform, a searchable ebook catalogue, and a fund to help research reach an audience.
