Music technology trainer Katie Wardrobe has just wrapped up her second gig as the project manager for the Soundhouse Alliance’s Music Technology in Education Conference. The qualified teacher who graduated from The University of Melbourne with an honours degree in music has 20 years of work as a freelance music arranger, transcriber and copyist behind her.

If you know the mOVe! orchestral education program run by at Orchestra Victoria, that was implemented by her when she worked there for five years as the community program manager. Part of that meant being the project manager for about 75 performances and workshops around Victoria each year. Midway through that position she established Midnight Music in 2003 to specialize in training classroom and instrumental music teachers, students and other musicians to simplify music software either hands-on, online or through professional development sessions. In that time she worked for nearly three years at Avid Australia providing Sibelius support for the education sector presenting at conferences, running training sessions and providing technical support.
