Drones come out on top at The Age Music Awards

Local band The Drones flying high with three nominations in public awards category at The Age Victoria Music Awards 2013.

The genre winners of the inaugural The Age Victoria Music Awards 2013 have been announced, along with the public award nominations during an awards ceremony at The Age Atrium on Thursday. Showcasing local talent, the awards highlight the depth and talent of local and regional Australian music.

Some acts in the public award category received more than one nomination, including The Drones which had three for Best Album, Best Band and Best Live Act, while a few other acts scored two nominations including Paul Kelly, Adalita, King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard, Dick Diver and Clairy Browne and the Bangin’ Rackettes.
