Creative skills shortage in South Australia

The SA government must respond to the changing needs of the creative sector in to address a possible skills shortage.

Due to an ageing population and a lack of trained staff in vital areas, many South Australian arts organisations are facing skills shortages and are calling on the government to provide much needed training and development. 

According to the Creative Futures Report, authored by the Arts Industry Council of South Australia, the creative industries are a huge growth area for the state, and almost half the arts organisations there expect to create new positions within the next three years.
