Raewyn Hill, who two weeks ago stepped down as Artistic Director of Queensland company Dancenorth after five years in the role, has been appointed as inaugural Artistic Director of the Contemporary Dance Company of Western Australia (CDCWA).
CDCWA Chair Wendy Wise called the appointment of the Helpmann-nominated Hill ‘a crucial step in the CDCWA’s launch, as it seeks to reposition the art-form in the state’.
