Bulgari Art Award winner, Michael Zavros has unveiled his ambitious new piece The new Round Room which is now on display at the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
The work is a large-scale, meticulously detailed painting of the interior of the Grand Trianon in the grounds of the Palace of Versailles. It exhibits Zavros’ extraordinary technical skill as well as his fascination with the cultural achievements of the European aristocracy – the buildings, gardens and interiors created with unlimited wealth and power.
