Board places theatre company on ice

The Tasmanian Theatre Company's Board has paused the company's activities in order to save its cash reserves.

Citing their responsibilities as company directors, the Board of the Tasmanian Theatre Company has placed the company’s operations on hold in an attempt to help ensure its future.

Staff members Maeve Mhairi Macgregor, the Tasmanian Theatre Company’s Artistic Director, and Executive Producer Oliver Cassidy have taken voluntary redundancies and the company’s office in Hobart’s Salamanca Arts Centre has been closed as part of the temporary shut-down process.
