Australian Book Industry Award winner makes history

In a first, a children’s picture book has taken out Book of the Year at the 2020 Australian Book Industry Awards.

This year the 2020 ABIAs were streamed live across Australia on YouTube for the first time and hosted by musician Casey Bennetto in an online ceremony where winners were toasted, writers celebrated and history made. 

The 2020 ABIA Book of the Year’ was awarded to: Bluey: The Beach (Ludo Studio, BBC Studios and Penguin Random House Australia).
