ABC cuts hit a sweet note for classical sector

Plans for a new content development fund and a renewed focus on arts and the regions are positive signs say sector representatives.

The classical music sector has welcomed recent changes at the ABC announced by Managing Director Michelle Guthrie.

Savings enabled by a 20% cut to ABC management positions are to be channelled into a new $50 million content development fund.
