A former Collingwood TAFE college looks set to become Melbourne’s next arts precinct under current plans being developed by Arts Victoria.

The 8,700m² (approximately 0.87 hectare) site at 35 Johnston Street, Collingwood, previously occupied by the Northern Melbourne Institute of TAFE (NMIT), was vacated in 2004/2005 in a staged withdrawal.
