Quality journalism in the digital age: It’s not a new conversation; it’s just been brought to the forefront of people’s minds yet again with the recent axing of 1900 staff from Fairfax Media, an organisation that – some would argue – is the last bastion of independent journalism in the country.

Those people would be wrong. Not only is quality journalism alive and thriving; it’s everywhere – you just have to know where to find it. And, on what we imagine is the gloomy winter Saturday morning you’re reading this, it might be quite nice to digitally peruse the papers over your poached eggs and coffee – a tradition that, while succumbing to the natural ebb and flow of technological changes, is without a doubt alive and well.
