For 41 years, Brett Cuthbertson has been receiving artworks into the Art Gallery of NSW. It is one of those behind-the-scenes jobs that is pivotal to the day-to-day running of an art museum, that few walking through the gallery doors galleries would recognise.
While the judging may have given the role of ‘Head Packer’ visibility to the public, Cutherbertson told ArtsHub that the title is reserved for the Archibald only, otherwise it is the installation crew.
