New research into the variation of Aussie slang has revealed how different states use their own terms to describe the same thing.
The recent findings published by McCrindle Research reveal the ways Australians are using slang in different environments.
The company’s findings state various terms relating to what Australians do and do not like as well as the different terms given to the same object in different states. Queenslanders use ‘feral’ in relation to something they do not like, while New South Wales residents are more likely to use ‘hectic’. People living in Western Australia describe their dislike for something as ‘munted’ according to findings published by McCrindle Research.
