SA’s young & emerging artists supported with $1 million funding boost

Following budget cuts of $4.9 million to the arts earlier in the year, the Marshall Government has softened the blow in order to better support the state’s early career artists.

Keeping an election promise made in March this year, South Australia’s Marshall Liberal Government have announced an extra $1 million in arts grants for young and early career artists.

The Making Sustainable Careers program will be shared between grants programs that had previously underpinned projects such as Emily Steel’s award-winning Fringe production 19 weeks and exhibitions by ceramicist Kirsten Coelho.
