Vote Arts lobby delivers regional arts funding boost

Following successful pre-election lobbying , the WA Government has committed $24 million to five new programs in regional arts.

The newly formed Creative Regions Program will be rolled out over the next four years,providing $24 million to regional arts organisations, venues and touring programs.

WA Culture and Arts Minister John Day said this was one of the largest investments in regional culture made by a government in Australia. Grants will be made available annually to arts organisations through to 2018.
