The position, which as expected has gone to long-time spokesperson for the Arts Martin Foley, has been renamed Minster for Creative Industries.

Foley takes on the portfolio along with three other portfolios Housing, Disability and Ageing; Mental Health and Equality.

The decision is consistent with the intention revealed on ArtsHub in May to abolish Arts Victoria and establish a new agency combining the arts with other creative industries.
