As an early Christmas present for newly hatching artists, the following are some hopefully helpful hints about making your career.

This is the first ‘15 minutes of fame’ moment for many final year art students now that the graduate exhibitions are on. Some of the gallery directors and curators will be trawling around looking for the next Big Thing. If you are super lucky, they may approach you with an offer. To be ready you need to have a clear idea of what you think you want and your rights and responsibilities in this relationship. Sorting out things like exhibition schedules, commissions, fees and timelines up front will save you potential hassle down the track.
