QTC Board censors Campbell Newman joke

The Queensland Theatre Company's board has censored a line about Campbell Newman in their current production. Ben Eltham reports.

Given the constant diet of death, gore and nudity to be found on many main stages these days, you wouldn’t have thought Biggins’ gentle social satire would ruffle too many feathers. In Sydney, Belvoir has just staged a non-stop murder-fest which culminates in a stage manager mopping up “litres of blood.” Many critics yawned; no-one complained to the Board.
