About the position
The Senior Urban Designer will formulate, review and maintain strategies, policies and documentation that moves the Toowoomba community toward our vision of being a vibrant, inclusive and liveable region.
- This is a fixed term full-time position based in the Toowoomba CBD until 30/06/2028.
- The annual salary range for this position is $106,114.31 – $112,546.44 gross per annum, plus 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.

How to be successful in this position
- Hold the mandatory qualifications, membership and experience, as outlined under the ‘Success Criteria’ in the Position Description.
- Demonstrate organisational skills, including project planning and time management.
- Project management experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication and numeracy skills, and high level interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate urban design matters in a graphic form, both freehand drawings and computer-based tools.
- Comprehensive knowledge of legislation, standards, regulations, guidelines, Council policies and procedures, and statutory requirements relating to planning and development.
- Commitment to teamwork.
