Senior Events Officer

The Package: $77,031.24 – $85,120.36 gross per annum + 12% super. (Evaluated as Grade 10 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).

Full-time – 35 hours per week. Flexible work arrangements will be considered.

Are you passionate about designing and delivering unforgettable community events that make a real impact? Council is seeking a Senior Events Officer to support in delivering a diverse range of events. From major festivals to local gatherings, you’ll be the creative force behind delivering moments that matter and events that make our community unique.                                                   

In this role you will:

  • Support in the planning, coordination, delivery and evaluation of a diverse range of community events such as Multicultural Festivals, Music by the River, Diwali, NAIDOC Week and much more.
  • Support external, local event organisers though Council’s application and approval processes.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive event management plans, proposals, budgets, evaluations, and effective marketing targeted at a diverse range of audiences.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has relevant qualifications and/or experience in event management or a related field.
  • Possesses strong proficiency in stakeholder management ranging from community groups, vendors, government agencies, law enforcement, volunteers, etc.
  • Functions well in a team environment with a fun and engaging attitude!
