Position Title: PROGRAM MANAGER (Ongoing role)
Position Starts: From January 2026
Salary Range: $70,000–$78,000 p.a. pro rata + Superannuation
Term: Dancehouse welcomes applications for this role at either full-time or part-time
Full-time: 1.0 EFT (38 hours per week) to Part-time: 0.8 EFT (30.4 hours per week)
Working hours to be mutually determined and agreed by both parties
Reports to: CEO/ Artistic Director
The Dancehouse Program Manager is an experienced producer and/ or program manager who leads in the design and management of the artistic programs at Dancehouse. As a significant producing and presenting house for projects by dance artists, the Program Manager is critical to the expert functioning of Dancehouse as part of a small dynamic team.
The Program Manager is a leadership role which actively works alongside the CEO/ Artistic Director. They are responsible for producing programs to the highest standard from design, planning, production, marketing, budgeting, and contracting. The role is diverse, rewarding, creative, and busy.
You will be a respected producer, artist, or arts worker who is confident and competent in what it takes to make, create, produce and present dance projects. You will have excellent communication skills. Your passion will be for the delivery of artists’ visions, and you will be a strong community advocate always thinking long-term about the dance sector.
You will love dance. All dance. And will enjoy working in a year-round theatre context.
