Call for Expressions of Interest – Philanthropy Consultant
Merrigong Theatre Company is a not-for-profit company that operates Wollongong’s premier performing arts venue, Illawarra Performing Arts Centre (IPAC) and the city’s key civic and community venue, Wollongong Town Hall.
Merrigong is seeking an external consultant to research and develop a strategy, plan, and process to support Merrigong to secure ongoing resources through a mix of opportunities including philanthropy (private and institutional giving), and sponsorship.
The work can be delivered remotely, remuneration negotiable.
We are looking for someone with:
- Proven experience and success in sourcing funding, strategy development and stakeholder engagement, ideally in an arts industry setting.
- Strong understanding of the Australian arts sector and the philanthropy and sponsorship landscape.
- Knowledgeable regarding legislation and philanthropy.
- Excellent analytical and writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
