About WAMA FoundationThe WAMA Foundation is a not-for-profit arts and environment precinct located at the foothills of the culturally, ecologically and geologically significant Gariwerd/Grampians National Park. The 16 hectares just outside Halls Gap encompasses the National Centre for Environmental Art, the Gariwerd/Grampians Endemic Botanic Garden, Jallukar Native Grasslands, an ephemeral wetland, café, and retail shop. WAMA opened in July 2025 and connects art, science, and nature through exhibitions, learning programs, and experiences that celebrate biodiversity and deepen our connection to the environment.
Position PurposeThe Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and implementing creative, data-driven marketing and communication strategies that build WAMA’s profile as a national destination for environmental art and nature-based experiences and visitation. The role combines strategic leadership, digital content management, brand development, and hands-on delivery across all communications channels and works closely with the leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Selection CriteriaEssential: Demonstrated marketing and communications experience preferably within arts, tourism, or NFP sectors; strong digital skills; excellent copywriting; and stakeholder engagement ability.Desirable: Qualifications in Marketing or Communications; regional/tourism experience; environmental understanding; and a current Driver’s Licence.

- Six-month probationary period applies.
