Industry Coordinator

The Industry Coordinator supports key stakeholder projects and drives growth of the industry marketplace at Adelaide Fringe.

ABOUT ADELAIDE FRINGE   Adelaide Fringe is an annual open-access arts festival run over four weeks and five weekends in Adelaide, South Australia during February and March. With free events, ground-breaking work, new talent, innovative thinking and original voices, we’re for everyone. It is one of the largest, most popular and diverse arts festivals in Australia. Thousands of artists from around Australia and across the globe participate alongside home-grown talent, in art forms spanning cabaret, comedy, circus & physical theatre, dance, film, theatre, music, visual art and design.   Adelaide Fringe supports flexible and accessible working arrangements for all. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES   Industry & Participant Outreach
  • Support the growth and development of the industry delegate program through research, approach and invitation.
  • In conjunction with the Marketplace Manager, coordinate all elements of the delegates’ participation, from invitations through to detailed and tailored itineraries.
  • Support the growth and inclusion of new venues, shows and collaborations in the marketplace program.
  • Coordinate industry and artist support 1-on1 sessions.
Arts Industry Collaborations
  • Support and nurture industry collaborations between artists and small to medium arts organisations.
  • Coordinate mentoring, advice, development support and inclusion in the Adelaide Fringe and Honey Pot program.
  • Ensure appropriate reporting, analysis and acquittals are captured and communicated effectively.
Tour Ready Award Recipients and Stakeholders
  • Coordinate all tour ready award winners inclusion in the Adelaide Fringe and Honey Pot program.
  • Coordinate MOU’s with participants.
  • Deliver venue, registration and marketplace support to all shows.
Visas for Artists & Industry
  • Support and guide industry and artists through the visa application process.
  • Coordinate support letters and track visa status.
  • Coordinate and apply processes of notification across departments (ticketing, show cancellations, guest support) for unsuccessful visa applications.
AVR Delivery & My Honey Pot
  • Coordinate developments and implementation of marketplace platform – My Honey Pot in AVR.
  • Deliver data processing and proofing of My Honey Pot with Artist Venues and Marketplace Administrator.
Guest Coordination
  • Coordinate and support external relationships with partner hotels.
  • Coordinate delivery of invitations.
  • Coordinate accommodation support and flight contributions with invited and approved delegates.
  • Process and check invoicing across guest support, budgets and other departments.
Show Suggestions
  • Support the marketplace team in the creation and delivery of show suggestions for industry delegates and to match their programming interests and tastes.
  • Offer show recommendations and matching to industry delegates within programmed events and networking engagements.
Marketplace Communications
  • Work in conjunction with the Marketplace Manager in the organisation, planning and delivery of Honey Pot delegate and artist eDM’s via mailerlite.
  • Work closely with the Marketplace Manager in preparing, editing and proofing all Honey Pot communication materials and online resources.
Industry & Participant Program
  • Support the planning and delivery of the marketplace program that includes pitching and networking events, HIVEs, 1-on-1’s, industry meetings, guidance and mentorship.
  • Working collaboratively with the Marketplace Manager and Artist & Venues Manager to develop, plan and deliver new programs and initiatives.
  • Support the delivery and coordination of the FringeWORKS location and hub.
CRM Transition
  • Coordinate with the Marketplace Manager the transition of marketplace data, outcomes and contacts using the organisation’s CRM system, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
Outcome Tracking
  • Implement and coordinate regular outcome tracking and monitoring across surveys, communications, phone calls and research
  • Conduct outreach and drive connections post season with industry and artists
Grant Writing
  • Support sourcing, planning and developing key projects requiring grant support
  • Coordinate compelling grant applications, funding proposals, reports, and acquittals across key funding and government organisations (DFAT, Creative Australia, CreateSA, Philanthropic Foundations)
Artist & Venue Registration & Communications Support
  • Support the Artist & Venue teams with registration and venue communications via email, phone and Freshdesk.
  ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
  • Demonstrated experience working in the creative arts industry with programmers, decision makers, festivals and venues nationally and internationally.
  • Knowledge and understanding of touring networks and circuits and how they operate.
  • Good knowledge of Adelaide Fringe – who we are and what we do. Understanding types and differences in Artist’s works presented in Fringe and what industry delegates are looking for.
  • Exceptional people skills, with the ability to interact, liaise and communicate effectively and easily with a broad range of people in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Skills in program/project management, including facilitation, planning, development, monitoring and evaluation.
  • Computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheets, scheduling, database and internet/email software, and the ability to create, update and maintain efficient and effective records management systems.
  • High-level planning, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to work with a team and in a hands-on capacity.
