Fundraising Manager

Lead a land-saving fundraising campaign at one of Australia’s most iconic cultural organisations. A purpose-led mission, flexible work options.

Woodfordia’s Head Office is in Woodford, QLD (Hybrid working options available)

Full-Time | Ongoing Position | Salary Negotiable Based on Experience ($90k – $120k)

Be part of something bigger. Help grow a forest — and a future.

We are seeking a passionate and strategic Fundraising Manager to lead our philanthropic efforts — beginning with one of the most significant campaigns in our history: A Forest of Goodwill, which seeks to raise $5.7 million to secure the land on which our community, creativity, and culture flourish.

This is an ongoing role with long-term potential to shape a culture of giving across Woodfordia’s wide-reaching and deeply connected community.

About Woodfordia

Woodfordia is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the arts, environmental stewardship, and building community through both large-scale and intimate gatherings. Our flagship event, the Woodford Folk Festival, is an iconic cultural celebration that draws tens of thousands from across the country and beyond.

Our 500-acre parkland, just over an hour north of Brisbane, is more than a venue—it’s a vision. A living, breathing cultural parkland dedicated to inspiring a more creative, connected, and sustainable future.

About the Role

Reporting to the Managing Director and working closely with our leadership team, the Fundraising Manager will lead the design and delivery of sustainable philanthropic initiatives. Initially, the focus will be on the A Forest of Goodwill campaign, building momentum and engagement with donors, trusts, and partners.

Over time, the role will evolve into a broader fundraising and development position, embedding a culture of philanthropy across all of Woodfordia’s programmes and activities.

Your Key Contributions Will Include:

  • Leading donor engagement strategies to inspire long-term giving.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with donors, foundations, and philanthropic partners.
  • Crafting compelling communications and campaign narratives.
  • Implementing donor journeys, CRM systems, and best-practice fundraising models.
  • Orchestrating events, ambassador initiatives, and community engagement.
  • Delivering impact reports and fostering trust through transparent stewardship.

You Bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in fundraising, philanthropy, or donor development—ideally in the arts, cultural, or non-profit sectors.
  • A track record of cultivating major gifts and meaningful donor relationships.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinking and CRM/data management experience.
  • A love for storytelling, nature, and cultural connection.

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to work with one of Australia’s most beloved cultural organisations.
  • A meaningful mission with enduring impact.
  • A beautiful working environment on 500 acres of protected cultural parkland.
  • Flexibility, purpose, and a passionate, values-led team.
