Digital Marketing Lead

MIFF seeks a strategic, results-driven and creative Digital Marketing Lead to work in a high-energy, small and collaborative festival team.
MIFF is a not-for-profit organisation that has been continuously running since 1952, making it the leading film festival in Australia and one of the world’s oldest film festivals. MIFF returns 6-23 August 2026.
The Digital Marketing Lead will execute MIFF’s digital marketing strategy, delivering digital campaigns across paid, earned and organic channels to generate engagement, reach new audiences, drive revenue and maintain MIFF’s strong brand identity.
This includes eDM campaigns and analytics; social media scheduling, delivery, administration and reporting; creating digital assets; and managing photographers, videographers and content creators.
You will: manage MIFF’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, Bluesky, X, Letterboxd); oversee MIFF’s eDMs including the monthly Widescreen, member emails and targeted sales-focused eDMs to specific audience segments; write copy and create content; assist with paid digital advertising campaigns and analyse campaign performance; and collaborate with other departments to align digital efforts with marketing objectives.
Working with the Head of Marketing & Communications, the role will also oversee the Digital Content Coordinator to produce engaging and high-quality video content in the lead-up to and during the peak festival period.
Strong analytical, creative, communication and organisation skills are essential along with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
