We design, produce, and deliver exceptional exhibition spaces, captivating museum and gallery environments, inspiring gardens, and engaging experience centres for a diverse range of clients.

As an Experience Designer at Xzibit, you will play a crucial role in transforming conceptual ideas into captivating experiences, with a specialised focus on Museums, Galleries, Parks and Experience Centres. You will work closely with our Creative Lead to develop innovative designs, that deliver the story, captivate and engage the client while adhering to brand guidelines and technical standards.

Your days will be varied working on multiple projects where you will:

• Create innovative and engaging museum and experience designs from concept to client approval, including briefings, site surveys, brand and graphic concepts, 3D visualisations, mood boards, while ensuring accessibility and visitor engagement. Success is measured by client satisfaction, originality feedback, design efficiency, and proactive professional development, and we’d love to out your work up for an award or two!
• Managing the design aspects of production, collaborating with fabricators, ensuring quality, and adhering to timelines and budgets. Success is measured by on-time and within-budget delivery and high production quality.
• Creating accurate and comprehensive technical drawings, specifications, and fabrication drawings and maintaining organised design documentation. Success is measured by low error rates and positive feedback on document clarity.
• Participating in planning, managing design tasks within project timelines and budgets, coordinating with teams and stakeholders, and building client relationships. Success is measured by client satisfaction, on-time delivery, and staying within budget.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A relevant degree and at least 5 years of specific experience in industrial, museum and experience exhibition design.
• Proficiency in relevant design software. (we use Adobe Suite, Sketchup)
• A strong understanding of materials, production, and installation techniques for museum and experience centre environments.
• Excellent self management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• A strong portfolio showcasing relevant creative and technical expertise.

Bonus Points For:

• Experience working on exhibition, museum, gallery, or experience centre projects.
• Awareness of innovative technologies, interactive exhibits, and immersive storytelling techniques being used in the field.
• Demonstrated ability to design for a wide range of subject matter and cultural sensitivities.
• Experience designing for diverse audiences
