Communications and Engagement Manager

First Nations First is pillar one of the Australian Government’s National Cultural Policy, Revive: a place for every story, a story for every place. Under Revive we will establish a dedicated First Nations-led Board to:
- Invest in, create and produce, First Nations works of scale, with priorities and funding decisions determined by First Nations leaders,
- Develop a First Nations Creative Workforce Development Strategy, and
- Promote best practice cultural protocols, self-determination and cultural safety training across arts and cultural organisations.

Your role
As our Communications and Engagement Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of First Nations focused communications and engagement strategies to increase visibility, engage audiences and promote First Nations arts content, programs and initiatives at Creative Australia.
What you’ll be doing
- Developing and implementing targeted high quality communication plans to promote First Nations arts programs and events in line with strategic objectives
- Acting as a representative for First Nations Arts, enhancing the organisation’s reputation by effectively positioning communications across Creative Australia’s website, digital suite and marketing collateral
- Cultivating and nurturing key stakeholder relationships to identify opportunities for audience growth and to shape, share, and communicate First Nations Arts messages
- Developing and managing content strategies including tailored communications for event delivery ensuring alignment with Creative Australia’s broader communications strategy
- Working with the communications team to provide the Executive Director First Nations Arts with specialist advice, regular reporting and critical analysis on the performance of First Nations focused campaigns
