Casual Position

Hourly Rate: $31.84 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus superannuation and penalty rates when applicable

 

OPPORTUNITY

The Carriageworks Box Office team plays a significant part in ensuring each visit is a memorable one. The role is part of a dynamic and customer orientated front-line team, dedicated to providing an exceptional and indiscriminate visitor experience. Reporting to the Ticketing and CRM Manager and the Ticketing Coordinator, Box Office team members are responsible for delivering outstanding customer experience outcomes.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/DAY TO DAY

 

As a casual Box Office Attendant at Carriageworks, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing inbound and outbound calls and emails
  • Processing ticket sales in person, via phone and email
  • Detailed database and account maintenance
  • Providing information about upcoming performances and events
  • First point of call for the wider company, assisting with appointments, accepting deliveries and maintaining Carriageworks Public Space
  • Working with the Front of House team members to ensure smooth delivery of all performances, and providing a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for audiences and staff.
  • Handling feedback with sensitivity and effectively resolving or escalating as required to the relevant manager.
  • Being knowledgeable of Carriageworks website content, purchase paths and patron experience.

 

PREFERRED CRITERIA

 

We are seeking an individual with:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering excellent customer service.
  • Warm and courteous phone manner with the ability to conduct outbound calls as required.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail with verbal and written communication.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including the capacity to work evenings and weekends.
  • Box office and/or Tessitura experience is desired but not a requirement.
