- Permanent / Full Time
- Monday to Friday, 72.5/ hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $101,528 – $105,760 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation
- Location – Rockhampton
Your new role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a creative, self-driven professional to lead dynamic arts marketing and communications across Council’s major venues.
As the Arts Communications Officer, you’ll lead the development and delivery of dynamic marketing and communications campaigns that bring Council’s performing arts programs to life.
Working closely with internal teams and external clients, you will shape audience engagement strategies, create compelling content, and drive event attendance across Council’s major venues, most notably the Pilbeam Theatre.
This role gives you the opportunity to champion arts experiences in our region while managing diverse projects, building strong stakeholder relationships, and contributing to a vibrant cultural program.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
- Experience in arts, events or venue-based marketing
- Strong writing and content creation skills across digital and editorial formats
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and readiness to learn industry-specific systems
