Into the Wild is a 5-day photography exhibition held at M2 Gallery in Surry Hills, bringing together a diverse mix of emerging and established photographers from across Australia and, for the first time, New Zealand. Now in its fourth year, the exhibition has grown into a platform that connects the photography community with a wider audience, showcasing work that explores the idea of “wild” in all its forms.

Spanning landscapes, seascapes, urban environments, human experience, and conceptual work, the exhibition captures moments that feel raw, unpredictable, and unfiltered. From the power and scale of the natural world to quieter, more intimate expressions of emotion and transformation, each piece offers a unique interpretation of what it means to step beyond the familiar.

Alongside the exhibition, a series of ticketed events provide additional ways to engage with the work and the artists behind it. The Industry Preview Night on Thursday June 12 brings together photographers, collectors, and creatives for a first look at the exhibition. The evening will be officially opened by Photography Grand Master, Peter Eastway.

The Opening Night on Friday June 13 offers a more relaxed and social way to experience the exhibition, with a full gallery and a lively atmosphere as visitors explore the work and connect with the photographers. On Sunday June 14, the Meet the Photographers session will see nine exhibiting artists for a series of short talks, offering insight into their creative process, the stories behind their images, and the decisions that shaped their work.

The exhibition runs from June 12–16, with gallery hours from 10am–5pm daily. Entry to the exhibition is free, with ticketed access required for the opening events and artist session.
