The 2026 iteration of BLAZE features emerging artists from Kamberri/Canberra and beyond; Asil Habara, Isaac Kozlovskis, Nathan Nhan, Eliott O’Dowd, Litia Roko, Florence Steel, Natasha Tareen and Jackson Taylor. Curated by Sophia Cai, Artistic Director & CEO of Canberra Contemporary.
BLAZE will see these 8 artists engage with various themes, ranging from identity and autonomy to the significance of today’s algorithmic culture and its effect on socialisation. Working across diverse mediums spanning ceramics, painting, sculpture, glass, textiles, printmaking, video and installation, these artists signal an exciting direction in contemporary visual arts practices today.
