Inspired by a series of handcrafted papier-mâché masks, this workshop draws on the beauty of imperfection and the expressive potential of everyday materials.
Participants will paint their own mask using bold, bright, and earthy colours reminiscent of Indian textiles, festivals, and urban life.
Rooted in traditions of Indian mask-making and reinterpreted through a contemporary lens, the session encourages experimentation, play, and personal storytelling. Each mask reflects the many roles we inhabit in our daily lives, whether to belong, adapt, or create distance.
With an emphasis on texture, individuality, and intuitive mark-making, this workshop is an opportunity to transform a simple surface into a meaningful expression of identity, memory, and resilience.
