Genre Artworks are those that depict ordinary people in everyday situations, both in the exterior and the interior. Rather than heroic or mythological subjects, these works celebrate the familiar: everyday people participating in domestic routines, work, leisure, social gatherings, and quiet moments of daily life. Spanning centuries, the show highlights how artists have found beauty, humour, and meaning in the ordinary, offering intimate windows into human experience and social history.
Artists are invited to submit their genre artworks in one of the following eligible mediums: Pastel, Watercolour, Pencil (including coloured), and Charcoal.
Entries due: Wednesday, 26th of August, 3:30pm
