Marieke Hardy on making art anonymously

From public figure to anonymous creator and back again, Marieke Hardy stepped into the public sphere as Artistic Director of one of Australia's biggest writers' festivals. Here's what she said about the experience.

After years in the public spotlight as a radio and TV personality, blogger and columnist, Marieke Hardy decided to take a step back.

‘After god knows how many years living a pretty public life writing lots of op eds and columns and blogs and I wrote my book and I was on the radio, moving to a slightly quieter life for the last three or four years has been a really great thing to do. I got a bit sick of the sound of my own voice,’ Hardy told ArtsHub.
