Tailor your resume for the job

When applying for a position your resume needs to be clear, easy to read and brief. Don’t use a generic one-size-fits-all resume for every position. Instead, read your resume carefully and ensure that it is focused and specific to the position at hand.

It’s not necessary to list every job you’ve had, especially if it required no relevant skills to the one you are applying for. List the most relevant positions you’ve held and outline your accomplishments while in those positions rather than a long listing of duties or tasks. Your CV should outline what you’ve achieved not just what you’ve done.
