Language is a key tool in reinstating Indigenous histories and culture, and recently two art initiatives have engaged local communities to make way for First Nations Knowledge through place names.
‘The world in Australia is going to go back to its roots of origins through place, meaning to reconnect people to their Country or to their boodja; reconnect Country to their knowledge and their science, and also to the language.‘
