$259K Screenrights Funding propels innovative collaborations

Diversity Arts Australia and Back to Back Theatre are among the latest funding recipients to foster new projects in the screen industry.

Seven projects received a total of $249,600 from the Screenrights 2021 Cultural Fund with a focus on ‘New Teams’ to support diverse and innovative projects.

Diversity Arts Australia Executive Director Lena Nahlous said: ‘Over the past 18 months the screen industry has undergone a cultural reckoning, amplifying public conversations about systemic racism and a lack of diversity in Australia’s screen and media sectors.‘
