Michaela McGuire announced as new AD for Melbourne Writers Festival

After three and a half years and four festivals in Sydney, McGuire returns to Melbourne, and will present her first MWF program in 2021.

Journalist, author, programmer and curator Michaela McGuire has been announced as the new Artistic Director of Melbourne Writers Festival (MWF).

McGuire is currently the Artistic Director of Sydney Writers Festival (SWF), where she has overseen four programs to date, including the 2020 festival – which had to be quickly reinvented as an online event following the impact of COVID-19.
