South Australians to rally against $8.5m in cuts

A public rally to oppose predicted cuts to the arts budget will be held in Adelaide on Tuesday.

Arts industry figures in South Australia fear up to $8.5 million will be cut from the state’s arts budget in the forthcoming 2016-17 budget.

The Adelaide Festival alone is expected to lose $1 million from its budget, with other organisations fearing deep cuts.
