Minister admits ‘close interest’ in Ballet School

The Minister for the Arts has defended a $1 million grant to the Australian Ballet School, in a slasher budget where the rest of the arts sector lost more than $87 million.

Arts Minister Senator George Brandis told ArtsHub he took a special interest in the Ballet School before the budget and the grant would better enable the School to recruit the best dancers.
