Multiple studies show arts interventions can improve health, education and economic outcomes.

At ArtsHub we see those effects constantly. Our pages are full of stories where the arts have made a difference. The arts provides vitality to regional towns, creating collaboration, a space for connection and a place for collaboration. Applied within school communities, the arts transformed education outcomes, boosting test results in literacy and numeracy to the equivalent of an extra year of school. In mining communities’ mental health, participatory arts are being used to overcome isolation and depression and in remote communities, Aboriginal Art Centres are often the core vehicle for change.
