WOW! Children’s Exhibition (Greater Dandenong Children’s Festival)

Greater Dandenong City Council is seeking Expressions of Interest from artists for an Artist in Residence: Creative Mentor opportunity as part of the WOW! Children’s Exhibition.

This residency will support the creation of artworks for exhibition through a series of facilitated workshops with children aged 8–12. The selected artist will work closely with participants to guide creative development, foster self-expression, and support wellbeing through engaging, hands-on artistic experiences.

Artists will design and deliver workshops that encourage imagination, build confidence, and nurture collaboration in a supportive environment.

2026 Theme: Velveteen Rabbit

Inspired by the beloved story, this year’s theme explores ideas of genuine connection, love, and authenticity. Participants will be encouraged to interpret these themes through creative exploration.
