Theatres opened, threatened and revealed

As one theatre reopens, others are under threat. Elsewhere, plans for the country’s biggest regional arts centre are revealed.

More than just performing arts venues, theatres can be rallying points for the community, as well as social and architectural assets.

This week saw celebrations as a much-missed Sydney theatre was officially reopened, while two other theatres are under threat. Elsewhere, plans for the country’s biggest regional arts centre have also revealed, pulling an emphasis on the value of theatre.
