The early closure of The Addams Family musical in Sydney has ramifications beyond a simple pay dispute between its producers and the MEAA.

Despite generally favourable reviews, The Addams Family – which opened at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre in March – has suffered from poor ticket sales and will close this Sunday, having originally been expected to run til at least June 16. Nor will it tour to other states, as previously planned.
