One of Australia’s most controversial artists is presenting a new exhibition at the Art Gallery of New South Wales this May. Bill Henson, who drew the a paper thin line between art and indecency when he exhibited photographs of nude 13-year old girls in 2008, is back with a slightly less contentious exhibition.
Bill Henson: cloud landscapes offers an insight into the photographer’s expansive career. Drawing on a large portion of his oeuvre, visitors will investigate the turns and constants in his practice.
