Applications from aspiring and emerging comedians are now open for RAW Comedy, an initiative of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival (MICF) that has launched the careers of numerous stars since it was first held in 1996.

An open mic competition on a grand scale, RAW Comedy sees heats held in every state and territory in the lead up to the national final. Last year more than 1000 people entered the competition.
